Remove the following packages only if no other Solution is using them:

  • Adobe Data Dictionary Building Block Package
  • Adobe Livecycle Expression Manager

Clustering Interactive Statements

[Ref. #2985622, ADEP 10.0] If you run the AssetPlacement service in a cluster environment, over a network with 1GB bandwidth,  you will notice a drastically reduced number of statements generated in one second time frame. The AssetPlacement service will also show poor scalability across the nodes of the cluster, since the output of the AssetPlacement service is a PDF document, often larger than 1.5MB, which needs to be sent across the network in order to be stored.

Customer Communications

Correspondence Management Solution

[Ref # 2908302-ADEP10.0] Reverting an asset shows a list of dependent assets which may not be updated

When working in the Create Correspondence application of the Correspondence Management Solution, if you revert an asset, a list of dependent assets is displayed; however, many of these assets may not be reverted. The following scenarios can lead to a possible change of state in the dependent letter:

  1. Change in Text for addition or removal of DDE
  2. Addition or Removal of PH in text modules
  3. Change in PH Data Type
  4. Change/Update in Layout
  5. Change/Update in Fragment Layout
  6. Addition or removal of text modules (directly or indirectly) in a list or condition
    \\\\

[Ref # 2910629-ADEP10.0] Asset upload does not work when IPv6 address is used in the URL - When working in the Create Correspondence application of the Correspondence Management Solution, if you use an IPv6 URL you will not be able to upload assets. To resolve this issue, use the server name rather than the IP address to access the application.

[Ref # 2913708-ADEP10.0] Import: Does not prompt the user when Import Fails

If an import fails there is no indication shown in the user interface. The user must consult the Error.log file to determine if there were any failures during an import operation.

[Ref # 2915916-ADEP10.0] Basic search fails for Japanese characters

When performing a basic search, the search can fail when searching with multiple Japanese characters. For example, basic search passes for  日 but fails for 日本語. There are no issues using Japanese characters in an Advanced search.

In order to perform a basic search with multiple Japanese characters, wrap the search string within double quotes.

[Ref # 2925472-ADEP10.0] If author-publish instances are on same machine, use separate hostnames to access them in parallel

The author instance and publish instance cannot be used simultaneously when the author and publish servers are installed on the same server. Otherwise logging into one will disconnect from the other.

To access them simultaneously, create separate hosthames in host file, such as the etc/hosts file. For example:

127.0.0.1 author-instance publish-instance

then access the instances using a different hostname:port, such as:

http://author-instance:4502/content/cm/manageassets.html

http://publish-instance:4503/content/cm/manageassets.html

[Ref # 2927297-ADEP10.0] Firefox Only: File upload does not work when Experience Server is configured to run in SSL mode

File upload does not work when using the Firefox web browser to access the Correspondence Management solution running in SSL mode using a self-signed certificate. Only a trusted CA issued SSL certificate is permitted.

[Ref # 2927854-ADEP10.0] Indentation is doubled for a condition.

When creating conditions in letters or lists, if text is assigned to it with an indent value of 1, when the letter or list is previewed, the text inside the condition has an indent value of 2. Indentation can be fixed manually by clicking the left indent icon present in the toolbar.

[Ref # 2928222-ADEP10.0] Undo does not work after applying style to text

When working in the Create Correspondence application if a style is applied to the text the UNDO button will not revert the change.

[Ref # 2931024-ADEP10.0] In text editor bold does not work with italics on win32 XP machine

Text cannot be displayed using both bold and italics in the Create Correspondence text editor, but does appear correctly when the document is previewed. This error only occurs when running the Windows XP 32bit operating system. For Windows XP workstations download and install the "Clear Type Tuning" tool from http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypePowerToy.mspx. Using the tool select Turn on Clear Type.  By default Windows 7 has Clear Type enabled and therefore no change is required.

Interactive Statements Solution

[Ref # 2701191-LC9.5, ADEP10.0] The <id > attribute and <name> child element are required for calling the Assembler service  - When you manually create navigator files for interactive statements, you must add the <id > attribute and <name> child element in the navigator.xml file. Read this TechNote for more information about this issue.

[Ref # 2661169-LC9.5, ADEP10.0] Interactive Statements does not support using mixed versions of the Flex SDK when creating components - Using different versions of the Flex SDK or an incompatible version of the Adobe Flex^®^ SDK for creating different components causes the interactive statement to fail. When creating components for Interactive Statements, use the Flex 3.0.1 SDK.

[Ref # 2635035-LC9.5, ADEP10.0] Interactive Document Project option does not automatically appear in the File > New menu - When you install the Adobe Asset Placement Plug-in for Flash® Builder™ 4, the Interactive Document option does not appear when you select File > New. To see this option, select File / New / Other..., and select Interactive Document Project.

[Ref. # 2938614 - ADEP 10.0] Error appears when importing the HelloWorld project into Flash Builder - When you import the HelloWorld project into Flash Builder, the following error may display in the Design Mode Problems View:
Unable to locate specified base class ‘com.adobe.icomm.assetplacement.controller.PromoModule’ for component class ‘mypromo’. To correct the error:

  1. Expand the \src(default package)\ folder and delete mypromo.mxml.
  2. Save and compile the project.

[Ref. #2941746 - ADEP 10.0] Asset Placement components do not appear in Design mode - The following issue occurs in the first Asset Placement project that you create in a freshly installed Flash Builder:

When you drag Asset Placement components from the Component view to the MXML file, they appear in the source but they do not appear in the Design mode.  This issue does not occur in subsequent projects.

[Ref. #2941722 - ADEP 10.0]  When you try to preview the print document attachment in an interactive statement created in ES2.5 in the ADEP 10.0 environment, the attachment does not open. To find out how to resolve this issue, see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/916/cpsid_91607.html.

Integrated Content Review

General

[Ref. #2721293-ADEP10.0] - When Integrated Content Review is deployed on an HTTPS-enabled server with a self-signed certificate, users running Firefox or Google Chrome are unable to perform the following activities:

  • Initiate a review
  • Save schedules with supporting documents

This issue is observable only for HTTPS-enabled servers and not for servers communicating over HTTP.

Any of the following workarounds resolve this issue:

  • Use a trusted CA-issued certificate for the HTTPS-enabled server.
  • Perform these operations using Microsoft Internet Explorer instead of Firefox or Chrome.
    \\\\

[Ref. #2923389-ADEP10.0] - Intermittently, after the ICR OSGi bundle is restarted, the following error message is observed while searching for users in the Solution Interface:

We have encountered an unexpected exception. Please contact your system administrator.
More Details: org.eclipse.gemini.blueprint.service.importer.ServiceProxyDestroyedException:
service proxy has been destroyed.

To resolve this issue, restart the Experience Server.

[Ref #2929094-ADEP10.0] - Integrated Content Review solution returns "403: Forbidden" "404: No resource found"_error while exporting a file from the Version pod if the name of a file contains Japanese or high/extended ASCII characters.

[Ref. #2912842-ADEP10.0] - Asset search in the solution interface Assets view does not return intended results if the keyword contains one of the following special characters:

  • Whitespace
  • Dot (.)
  • Colon (:)
  • Single quote (')
  • Double quotes (")
  • Hyphen (-)
  • Underscore (_)

As a workaround for this issue, use a keyword without these special characters. For example, instead of advert_image, search for advert or image.

[Ref. #2925848-ADEP10.0] - Known issue: The Resources pod in the solution interface Gantt chart view is not updated when a reviewer/approver is removed. However, when a reviewer or approver is added, the pod is updated as expected.

[Ref. #2896069-ADEP10.0] - Known issue: If a specific schedule is not assigned to a project or asset, it doesn't automatically inherit the schedule assigned to the parent campaign. As a workaround, assign the relevant schedule to the project/asset.

[Ref. #2924353-ADEP10.0] - Known issue: When an asset is activated directly or as part of a campaign/project, the Resources pod in the asset-level Gantt chart lists supporting documents added at the campaign/project/asset levels twice.

[Ref. #2943384-ADEP10.0] - Known issue: The sample campaign included in the default installation of Integrated Content Review solution cannot be activated. An attempt to activate the campaign fails with an access denied exception. Follow these steps as a workaround:

  1. Login to the content explorer using admin/admin as username/password.
  2. Navigate to /content/apps/icr/prm path.
  3. Select 'projects' node.
  4. Select Security > Access Control Editor from the menu at the top.
  5. Add a new ACL and add this ACE entry:
    everyone:jcrAll

  6. Apply and save the changes.
