Getting Started
Kuler APIs are available for developers interested in creating new services using Kuler themes. We're looking forward to seeing your creations!
If your service is for non-commercial purposes and you are not a commercial entity, please follow these steps:
- Review this Kuler API documentation, the Adobe.com Terms of Use, and the Kuler API FAQ.
- Download the Kuler API logo (must be included on your service).
- Make sure you have an Adobe ID (the same Adobe ID you use throughout Adobe.com).
- Apply for an API key (requires an Adobe ID and is for non-commercial use only).
If you don't have an Adobe ID, click here to get one.
How to Apply for Kuler API Keys
To use the Kuler API, you'll need to apply for a key. API keys are required.
- Sign in with your Adobe ID
- Get a key:
- Enter your login details
- Read and accept terms
- Verify your email address to activate key(s)
You can have more than one key for the same Adobe ID and you can have multiple API keys associated with the same service, but you will need to apply for each key separately. You may not have more than 10 keys.
Non-commercial Versus Commercial Use
Your service must be free and non-commercial. If your service is intended for commercial use (if you plan to make money off of your service), if you intend to offer your service for a fee in the future, or if you are applying as a commercial entity, you may not apply for or use Kuler API Keys. Commercial use of Kuler APIs is not permitted.
Keep Us in the Loop
Let us know about your service by posting on the Kuler code forum and we'll add it to Samples.
If you name your service, be creative, but be aware that you cannot use "Kuler" as part of the name. For details, see the Adobe trademark guidelines and Adobe guidelines for third parties.
Terms of Use
By using the APIs, you indicate that you have read and agreed to the Adobe.com Terms of Use.
