About Me
I am an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop Lightroom and InDesign, an avid Lightroom fan, and very excited about being part of this new Wiki! I hope I can help users learn and appreciate the power of Lightroom and learn from them as well.
I discovered photography when I was about 14. My parents gave me a small Yashica camera for graduation and I just started clicking away. Realizing rather quickly that every click cost money, I explored the magical (and messy) world of the darkroom. That saved money and let me continue my black & white exploration of the world. Somewhere between then and now life sped up and photography slowed down. Several years ago I reacquainted myself with digital photography. It's amazing how quickly 1 megapixel cameras have grown!
I now do a lot of freelance photography ranging from portrait to landscape to product shots. Lightroom has been a great tool to organize and process all those files! The challenge for me in this digital age is to slow down and not just rapid fire images. Yes, I know every click is virtually free now, but getting it right in the camera still has its merits!
Organizations & Websites
I belong to the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). I am also the Co-Founder, Manager and a frequent blogger for the Dallas Fort Worth Adobe User Group (DFWAUG).
I also run a website called Pix Veritas dealing with photography and other digital artistry.
