About Me
I am Richard Earney one of the Pro Contributors for this new Wiki. I hope I can be of help to all who need it!
I was first given a camera by my father when I was 11 (30 years ago) and after being shown the basics for 10 minutes, I was told to go and find something interesting to shoot. Several hours later I returned having being bitten by the nature photography bug!
Fast forwarding I entered the 'pro' digital age with a Canon EOS D60 and have upgraded at regular intervals, sticking with the 1.6 multiplier cameras as they offer many advantages to macro photographers.
I have been an avid Photoshop user since version 1.0.3 and started using Lightroom on Day 1 of its public release. I am a beta tester for Lightroom and run the Inside Lightroom website to share Lightroom Develop Presets and knowledge about Lightroom and Presets. I am also a series editor for the Digital Workflow series fro, Focal Press.
I am a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society and am working towards my Associateship.
Some Sites
Modesty prevents me linking to Inside Lightroom again <cough, cough>!
George Jardine's Podcasts have always been interesting, it is often interesting to return to some of the earlier technical ones and see what has come to pass. My favourites are: #8,#24, #25, #29, #35.
Luminous Landscape is always interesting.
Lightroom News and Sean McCormack's blog are vital sources of information on Lightroom.
Jeffrey Friedl author of O'Reilly's Mastering Regular Expressions is also author of some essential export plugins for Lightroom.
Matthew Campagna has created several great Flash galleries for Lightroom.
