If you entered the wrong Adobe account email address, you might get the error "We couldn't find an account with that email address." Select Find your account on the sign-in screen. Then follow the onscreen instructions to recover your email address.

Are you receiving verification codes on your old phone number?

If you can't access your old phone number, select Use another method to receive the code in the sign-in screen. Then follow the onscreen instructions to send the code to your Adobe account email address. Once you receive the code in your email, enter your Adobe account password in the sign-in screen to access your account. Note that you'd still need access to your email as well as enter your correct password to sign in to your account.

If you have enabled two-step verification and forgotten your password, you need access to at least two of the following based on your account settings:

  • Your account email 
  • Your account phone
  • Adobe Account Access app

If you can't access at least two of these methods, you won't be able to access your account. Our recommendation is to create a new account.

Follow these steps to change your Adobe account email address:

  1. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. (Select the   icon in your Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar.)

  2. Select the Account icon in the upper right, and then select Adobe Account.

  3. Select Account and security, and then select Account

  4. In the Account information and access section, select Change next to primary email (Adobe ID).

  5. Enter the email address you want to use for your Adobe account. Then select Change to update your primary email (Adobe ID).
