Issue with the video card driver

Issue

When running Dimension on Windows, you get the following error:

There is an issue with the video card driver.
We have detected the system is using an Intel driver not compatible with our application, which needs to be updated for use with Dimension.

You get this error when your system is using an outdated version of Intel driver with a known issue, which results in Dimension being unable to display graphics. Updating to the latest version of the video card driver released by Intel resolves this error.

To resolve this error, use one of the following solutions:

Solution 1: Update the video card driver

To download the latest driver version and instructions, visit Intel support.  

Solution 2: Set the default GPU for the Dimension app

Note:

To use this solution, you must have a NVIDIA video card with the latest drivers installed on your Windows machine.

To set NVIDIA card as the default GPU for the Dimension app:

  1. Right-click the Dimension application icon.
  2. In the context menu, click Change Default Graphics Processor.
  3. Set the NVIDIA card as the default GPU for Dimension.exe.
