Windows

Processor requirements

A compatible processor (also called the CPU or Central Processing Unit) lets you experience better performance with Dimension. Also, performance issues, errors, or crashes may occur if your computer’s processor or its driver is incompatible with Dimension. To get the best experience using Dimension, install the application on a computer with a compatible processor that is named in the list below:

• Intel Core i5 (2011 or newer)
• Intel Core i7 (2011 or newer)
• Intel Xeon (2011 or newer)
• AMD A8
• AMD A10 
• AMD Ryzen

GPU rendering (Beta) requirements

A compatible graphics processor (also called a graphics card, video card, or GPU) lets you experience better performance with Dimension, completing renders significantly faster. Our initial implementation of GPU Rendering works with select nVidia cards on Windows only.

GPU Rendering requires a minimum of 8GB VRAM. 16GB VRAM is recommended.

Adobe has tested the following graphics processor card series:

• nVidia GTX 2080 Ti RTX

• nVidia GTX 2060 RTX

• nVidia GTX 1080 TI 

• nVidia GTX 1070

• nVidia GTX 980 TI

While older generations of cards, such as 9XXX, 8XXX, and 7XXX series are supported, they may not perform as well as modern cards in the tested list.

In addition to being on a supported card, you must be on the minimum supported driver, version 436.15 or later. It is recommended to always be on the latest drivers. We recommend using the nVidia GeForce Experience application, which will manage driver notifications and updates.
